This year saw an explosion in electric vehicle interest, with manufacturers recognising the EV movement isn’t just a ‘blip’! The  EEMC team is pleased to have played a part in promoting/demonstrating the benefits of electric motorcycles and having many ‘firsts’ in the process.

EEMC founder Alec started 2019 by flying to sunny California as part of Zero Motorcycles ‘Magnificent 7’ Award. Traveling first to Amsterdam for the official unveiling of the Zero SR/F in February, then onto Zero’s US-based HQ in California.

February saw another award from MotoNovo as Finance Provider of the year for Zero Motorcycles UK

There were many shows scheduled throughout the year, too numerous to mention, but equally enjoyable. May saw the EEMC team in London at the BikeShed Motorcycle Club event, we took along some Zero Motorcycles and Super Soco brands.

Added to that, we had a winning combination with Ryan Duffy from the DuffyMotorsport team who competed on our Zero SR. The Duffy team secured the fastest finishing production motorcycle in the Isleofman TT Zero 2019 racing.

Getting connected! Another ‘first’ took place in June, with EEMC’s first appearance at the FULLY CHARGED SHOW. Alec was invited to have an ‘electric chat’ – the general public were really engaged.

We got down and dirty in June at the MALLE LONDON taking along a large selection of electric motorcycles, e-scooter, and e-dirtbikes. Our ‘Midnight Mile’ race caused a bit of a stir – Mark Turner from Black Top Media describes his experience so eloquently in his BikeBound.com article:

‘It was the highlight of the weekend and man, those electric bikes are fast!’

We have also got to mention another couple of firsts, our monthly scheduled Empire Nights which started in April at Star Wing Brewery, welcomed both bikers and non-bikers alike. And added to that we have had some great motorcycle enthusiasts who took the time to demo our electric motorcycles throughout 2019 and we look forward to working with them in 2020.

As the largest all-electric motorcycle dealership in the UK, we became the second UK dealership for Energica.

The Modena-based Italian company of high-performing electric motorcycles was chosen by Dorna as the single manufacturer for FIM Enel MotoE™ World Cup, which got officially underway in July.

Later this year another first occurred. September saw our Zero FXS used to demonstrate the WORLD’S FIRST-EVER electric motorcycle wheelie machine – created by ExtremeWheelie.co.uk. We were invited to a charity fun/day hosted by Ghost Bikes based in Preston and organised by SorryMate.com in aid of the North West Air Ambulance service. The interest in our e-bikes was incredible, so-much-so the demo slots were fully booked weeks before.

September also saw the EEMC Zero Motorcycles SR/F pitted against two combustion motorcycles AND a plane!

We are certainly enjoying the electric journey and look forward to adding to the EEMC 2020 calendar – so keep a lookout for:
