FIVE councils apply for government funding to help pay for EV charging points,
EEMC hear that a £4.5 million government initiative has five takers so far, but at least the electric movement is going forward!
The Government funding to help with building infrastructure for electric vehicles in towns & cities across the country mean that councils only pay a quarter towards the cost of Electric Vehicle charging points, at present Portsmouth, Kensington, Chelsea, Cambridge, Luton and Kettering are leading other councils down ‘Electric Avenue’!
With the electric car/motorcycle movement encouraging cleaner, greener motoring and electric vehicle sales rising by almost 30 per cent in 2017, compared to the previous year, electric vehicles are the way forward – so up the EV revolution!
