Licensing Information

The Stark VARG SM is a road-legal, L3e-A1 homologated version with a continuous power output limited to 11 kW (15 hp), in line with UK A1 motorcycle licence regulations.

🔐 Electronically restricted for road use to comply with A1 limits

🛠 Homologated and registered as L3e-A1 with the DVLA

This means the 11 kW Stark VARG SM can legally be ridden on UK roads with a valid CBT certificate, L-plates, and insurance — no need for a full motorcycle licence.

The restriction to 11 kW continuous power is done via electronic software control and validated through homologation testing for road use.

Power, Range & Performance

At the heart of the VARG SM lies a 7.2kWh 420V battery paired with a carbon-fiber-housed motor that unleashes up to 80 horsepower and an incredible 914Nm of torque at the rear wheel. With a 2-hour fast charge via its 3.3kW portable charger, you can plug in anywhere and get back on the road fast. The mixed urban range of 118km (73 miles) ensures effortless commuting or spirited weekend rides, while its lightweight 124kg build and SM-specific chassis geometry provide unmatched balance and responsiveness on both city streets and tight corners.

Engineering, Handling & Braking

The Stark VARG SM’s chassis and suspension system are engineered for precision and control. The high-strength steel frame combines with KYB 48mm closed-cartridge forks and a fully adjustable rear shock to deliver 290mm front and 303mm rear travel, providing confidence in every manoeuvre. Brembo braking components—featuring a 320mm front disc with a 4-piston radial caliper—offer race-level stopping power. Together with reduced rotational mass and an ultra-light fully machined triple clamp, the VARG SM delivers razor-sharp handling and effortless wheelies for those who crave street-dominating performance.

Technology, Design & Connectivity

Fusing design and innovation, the VARG SM features the Arkenstone dashboard, a military-grade waterproof smartphone that connects wirelessly to the bike, unlocking navigation, ride tracking, and over-the-air software updates. Through the VARG App, riders can fully customize power delivery, regenerative braking, and traction profiles—all in real time. With built-in GPS tracking, digital locking, and a cockpit that’s both functional and beautiful, the Stark VARG SM represents a new era of smart motorcycling—where every ride is powerful, connected, and uniquely yours.

The appointed agent will provide roadside assistance throughout the UK, 24 hours a day, every day of the year if your bike is stranded on the highway as a result of a breakdown. The aim is to fix your bike, but if it
cannot be fixed at the roadside within a reasonable time, it will be taken to the nearest Dealer.
Home Start
Provides all the benefits of Breakdown Assistance at your bike’s registered address.
Recovery
If it is not possible to fix your bike at the roadside or arrange a prompt local repair, you and your bike can be transported to a UK mainland destination of your choice up to a maximum of 75 miles.

Inductive Insurance

Although electric motorcycles and scooter insurance is a relatively new, small but growing market we are glad to say that to insure any of our electric motorcycles will not cost any more than an equivalently priced and powered combustion models.

We’ve scouted high and low to find the best possible insurance for electric motorcycles and electric scooters and turns out the best guys in the electric insurance industry happened to be based just down the road from us!

Hi-Voltage Finance

New technology is not truly effective if the systems that back it are outdated. Along with our travelling demo days and pop up showrooms we are offering a comprehensive mobile servicing system for electric motorbikes, meaning less cost and downtime for you whilst the minimal service needs your electric motorcycle has are met. Service costings and frequency vary for each brand and model but a general service undertaken at our workshop can be as little as £60 ex VAT.
